Guess what? From today you can see all the feedback on your hellonext page right on Slack! Thanks to our Zapier integration that works seamlessly.

Step 1 : Get a Zapier Account and Login

As a first step, you need to own an account in Zapier to create a zap. It’s simple and free to create an account, you can just go to zapier and signup (

Once you get an account on Zapier, login and click on the right top corner. 

Step 2 : Connecting Your hellonext with Zapier

Find the hellonext trigger by searching for it in the search bar, and select the trigger. Currently we support the New Feature Request trigger which will send you notifications whenever your users submit feedback on your product’s page.

Next up, connect your hellonext organization to Zapier for it to listen to new feedbacks. To do that you need an access token.

To get the access token, login to your hellonext account as your organization admin and go to settings. At the bottom you will see a section called Experimental Settings.

Just create a new API key or copy the existing one. We need this to use in Zapier for connecting your hellonext organization. 

Now go back to Zapier and click on Continue to proceed to account selection. In the next page you’ll be able to see Connect an Account button, click on it. In the new page you’re navigated to, just paste the token you copied from you hellonext organization settings.

Once you’re done with it, you’ll be navigated back to the Zapier setup page and your organization account will be visible there, if you get that then everything is good and you can proceed to Testing. 

Once you pass the testing phase, you’re done with connecting your hellonext page to Zapier. Congratulations!

Step 3: Adding a Step

Here you have to select what should happen when a new feedback is submitted for your product on hellonext. For our scenario we will add a step to send a notification to our Slack Account. 

Thus click on Add A Step button in the sidebar of the setup pane. 


And the select the Action/Search in the options that are appeared. 

Now in the search, look for Slack and select it. You’ll be provided with various options including Send Direct Message, Send Channel Message, Add Reminder. But we’re going to send a message in a common channel so we’ll be selecting the Send Channel Message option. 

Similar to how we connected our hellonext account, we need to connect our Slack account. But connecting Slack is little different where you need to login and authenticate it. 

Once connected you’ll be able to see your basic slack account information like below. 

Now proceed to the next step where you’ll configure where to send a message, and how to send it. 

Under the Channel option you’ll see all the channels in your Slack workspace. Just select the one where you would like to send the notification.

After selecting a channel you need to configure how you’d like to send the notification. Here is where Zapier gives you great power to design your message. You can even use the Markdown syntax here. You can pick all the attributes of your hellonext feedback in the under the small icon text field which will show you a dropdown with all the possible attributes like Title, Description, URL etc. Here we’re just going to create simple message like below,

Thus, your message field will look like below,

Additionally you can do more configuration, but for simplicity sake I’m going to skip them.

Step 4: Test the Trigger

In the following step, you’ll be provided with an option to test your Zap, When you do you’ll receive a message on Slack like below,

Once you verify it works, you can proceed with the final step. But if it doesn’t work or if you need to reformat the message you can go back to the previous steps by clicking on the sidebar options and reconfigure. 

Step 5: Finalize and Deploy

After all the above steps are done, you’re good to go with the final step which is just to save your zap with a name and set the status to On.

Later you’ll be able to see this integration in your zaps page ( where you can manage it. 

Hurray! From now on you’ll never miss out feedback from any of your users and can keep them posted with better turn around time.
